BeiJING 798

Hey all...

Just hopped in from BJ for 5 days for work.. busy busy.. managed to sneak out for brunch and a quick pitstop here at 798.
798 used to be the code for this area in Beijing during the wall so that the enemies.. didn't know where exactly to bomb..cos it was coded with a number...i am sure some of you will of course know it better than me...i first went here like 2 years ago... and it was pretty derelict...
It has become an artist area..old industrial buildings.. bauhaus architecture.. russian spaces.. now all with artists, galleries..advertising firms..artsy cafes...have moved in. its become alot more touristy since i last went there just 6 months ago.. a bit worrying..

SHANGHAI EVENT Fall 07

Wow.. it's been a whirl... we just had a two day event for our winter collection.. did a show in the shanghai XTD store windows.. the effect was really beautiful.. here's a few to share.....ENJOY...gosh ..where was i??? running around like a maniac....

Our original campiagn and collection theme was based on Iceland..

It was the FENDI show on Friday at the Great wall... in BJ.. first of its kind... longest runway ever,,,

Bejing really has a grandeur about it... i really like it alot.. its very different from being in Shang..
there is something rock solid about the capital....
Ultra cool.. alot is happening there....

Here's a small sample that he did for a NAKED launch in NYC... it was a get together for working artists.. designers that did not get as much time to create items that they love because of their work schedule. It was organised by some friends of mine and we set up the exhibition in a lounge with beer for the night.
