IT's ALMOST OVER.. but WORD IS THAT for those of you that haven't been and just want to see a cool structure.. visit the CHANEL Pavilion.. ZAHA HADID created this sculptural piece of work.. in collaboration with Chanel..cool thing was that this was secretly built in the North of ENgland some where and transported...EEEK!..- a collapsible, futuristic pavilion - The Chanel Contemporary Art Container

a traveling exhibition space and HONG KONG is the first LEG...to house a bunch of designers who have created a "Chanel" inspired piece of art...to exhibit as so called "Mobile Art"...It ends in HK on April 5th.. suggest that you go see it..the aerial views are AMAZING...at night.. will post soon...need tixs..HKTICKETING...The exhibit will be traveling around the globe for the next 2 years - Tokyo next in July and New York in Sept. London and Moscow in 2009, last stop Paris in July 2010.As i am not super organised.. here's the aerial pic that i took earlier of the Chanel POD

It's called the daily grind. Turn it around, live richly in your imagination. It's not as murky as you think it is. Power the energy towards all that is positive. You can do it. Nothing is impossible. You are your own worst enemy.. you have heard it all before.

Live and let live.
Saviour what is within reach and run towards what you would like to have.
You have the power to make it happen. But be realistic. step aside and take a look at yourself.

You are who you are. Try to understand yourself first. We are all simple creatures. Not so complex.

Earth Hour

I am having a philosophical moment...This is supposed to be THE year that issues need to be tackled head on.
The environment, global warming, new fuel, other ways to reduce damage already done, reducing waste, all pitching in to do our part...seems like an endless task.

..go find another planet to live on... ahem...seriously thinking back to childhood.

April showers.. - yes...sign of spring coming...easter..
Snow in December... sign of christmas fun....and christmas morning...building snowmen..
September meant leaves dropping off trees..sign of autumn kicking in and you look forward to an abundance of color..and milder weather..

Summer time - lots of sun....beach and hanging out for the summer hols... now its either milder... or drought time...

so what we got now...
snow in october, november, feb, march, april... actually whenever she feels like dropping a few flakes....or hail.

rain......aside of the countries that have rainy season... doesn't rain enough.. again whenever mother nature feels like... light rain... or it's a major storm

summer - can never really tell when summer time really hits... it comes and goes...

sharks and polar bears ending up in places that they shouldn't......

more and more pollution - even though countries are trying to fix the problem.. it has already started.....how many clear blue bright sky days does hong kong have during each month..... and how many more people are getting more issues with their allergies and asthma.....

WE need to all pitch in and do our part... educate ourselves and be more aware... that's the first step.

day 8..obsessions...

Okay... haven't blogged for a week now... it's amazing that one could actually cough up your own guts.....so i have spent this past week.. locked in my home studio. i started a working on a collection of resort dresses inspired by a piece of cloth..how many ways can you tie one piece of cloth?? there are at least more than 10...I LOVE PAREO's. It's the most free and easy bit of cover. Well if we could walk around in one piece of cloth.. who needs clothes??

O yeah.. need to mention this... i took some medication meant for kids....( i know..i don't like taking meds... and was desperate...and it belonged to my niece)... the syrup knocked me out for about 6 hrs..... i was shocked... if this stuff is that strong.. why is it for kids???..label said MIGHT cause drowsiness....(!!)..incidentally.. it wasn't on prescription.

On a different note... as i was feeling like i needed to cheer myself on and kick the sickness.. my mind switched to things that i like. Besides food.. as i have lost my appetite...=(....the next best thing are jewels or shoes. There is nothing better than being able to reward yourself with a rock or two...ahem....not dust.. There is an immense satisfaction in being able to choose something produced by mother nature and accept all perfection or imperfections.. it doesn't matter....diamonds, rubies, sapphires... perfect stones in color, clarity, and their fragile, seemingly delicate nature oozes sheer beauty and strength. I have a slight obsession with the deco periods of fine jewellery. There were alot of exquisite pieces produced during that time.... and you still see the influences today.

So this is one for the ladies. Go treat yourself to something fine. You deserve it!

Some of my other favs...are original cartier pieces... and the fun Dior jewellery designed by Victoire de Castellane... who has the most amazing taste for extravagance,.. very whimsical..not everyone's cup of tea.. but fun.









i am not going to talk shoes....as i could seriously go on and on..shoes are are girl's best friend next to rocks... and dark chocolate.
My other... obsessions are sneakers... NIKES...vinyl toys....books....animation....notebooks, popcorn....lychee bellinis....this list could be never ending.....
Do you think it that these are considered OCD- ing?????? I do end up being a collectaholic..personal obsessions....

PERFECT TIME... to be INSPIRED.

After a month of visitors.. it has been truly wonderful.... and Just when everyone HAS LEFT!!!.. Friends i love you.. SICK kicks in.
Speechless, soundless, sleepless, life works in funny ways.....why is it when you stop.. it all comes at ya ....UGH.

this week was really an eventful week...and truly inspiring kick up the BUTT.

The Girls had a bit of a movie night.. so for all of you out there.. BE INSPIRED -- go see SHOPAHOLICS - the movie...it's entertaining...

and we girls were inspired to MADLY SHOP after....
