Oh Yeah... before i BUZZ OFF... For those passing thru london.. there is a wonderful exhibition on at the Victoria and Albert museum in Kensington .

Stephen Jones is a well known Brit Hat designer with a HUGE sense of HUMOR. It's on until 31st May.

here are a few of my favs...courtesy of his website.

best of British..

And here's some extra inspiration! Make a paper hat and decorate.

HELLO n OFF again

Wow it's been a busy day for bloggin... i was just catching up on all the latest news from my fav artists and fans...Well i am off on a bit of an adventure over the next few months.

I have barely had time to breathe since i got back. It's been a great weekend of wonderful weather.. getting over jetlag and being able to catch up with a hand full of friends...unfortunately not with everyone as i had planned!..but good enough.

Now i am frantically packing myself and my tools ready for the coming months. The suitcases are never large enough and i am usually one to travel super light.

I am off to Shanghai tomm and explore fresh ground there and then i will be back in Cambodia to run some sewing workshops for the local community. Trying to think of some other fun projects to help educate and raise awareness.

Hoping to find what i am looking for there. If not... i will be back. HK was almost like home... my butt didn't stay warm for long enough.

The summer months are already planned and feels like i have stepped into Autumn.
Maybe i will see some of you at Summer sonic.....determined to have a breather and some fun!!! Da music keeps me going especially after seeing some local talent at the AnD party...makes me crave more. There's alot of great festivals on over the summer..get your bum to some of them near your home!

Maybe we should have another rockin session in SHANGHAI!!

sweet love.. see you all soon.!

PEACE X

something beautiful

Recently i have been paying attention to friends and what they like and are inspired by..i know that sounds funny, but seeing as my brain and mind has been sunk in another world..it is very elevating to see fresh new inspiration that provokes.

Recent visit to a friends apartment in Shanghai.... i saw this beautiful piece by a friend of his Nobuhiro Kato....light and leaves made from rawhide...has a beautiful aurora about it. check out his site for other works...

something else i have always loved....are hanging Mobiles ..first ones that drew my attention was Alexander Calder's work.

Then i came across this recently. Palo Samko
- wood furniture designer and his hanging mobiles.

Kuniyoshi exhibit until June 7th Royal Academy

Hey all.. if you are in London... please stop by Kuniyoshi's exhibit at the Royal Academy.. it is well worth for those of you that like print and comics, Kuniyoshi's totally old school, the artwork and the pieces that are on show have a great modern feel still... could have been yesterday... the most amusing to me is his dark sense of humor..and his folktales... when you check out his so called embracement of early porn.....wahay ... back in the days... i guess without TV... everyone was wildly imaginative and relied alot on these type of printed first edition art...to entertain...

check it. until June 7

here's a blurb from the telegraph UK
