which chair??

I found this amazing spot in shanghai on a friends recommendation..it's a whole shack.. full of treasure finds...OLD everything..collected over the many years from different homes..a mad mix of bric a brac..better than the old antique market...but u gotta take the time to look and get dusty...avoid the mozzies

We were looking to furnish out our temporary studio on a shoestring or two.... and this really makes you think...reinvent.. recycle...recreate... remake....relook...hahaha..how many more RE's???

BACK TO SCHOOL

... SOOOO another day with the company in Siem Reap, cambodia.. this is my FAVORITE SPOT..


Spent a good part of the day working with the wonderful people at the sewing room of Artisans D'Angkor.
Many of them are trained over a period of time to learn skills step by step. Workshops have been set up to help the local communities train and develop skills that the people can have for life...i am going to be back and forth for a bit.. it's quite a learning curve for myself as well as for them. Trying to up knowledge on the people of cambodia...their lives, crafts, and way of life... there have been a lot of changes over the years and much tends to keep changing rapidly...

NEXT stop...went back to visit the Vietnamese school on the waters of Chong Kneas. Been spending a bit of time there... If u check back to my write up back in April.. that was my first visit



I made new friends today...


the BOX of CADbURY'S Celebration really werked wonders for fast communication!
The kids stopped bing SO Shy!!



Afterhours.. a few of the kids live on the boat as they don't have a home.. and the rest are JUSt HANGIN.. and having fun.


Luan - is the resident teacher from Saigon who's gonna be living here for another 6 months.


This is just a part of his Class...The kids just kept increasing.... must have been the CADBURYs!

Hey all.. quickie entry from Siem Reap.. here again.. had two wonderful dayz of meetings and it's all coming together. It is always tough when there are design selections being made.....the anticipation...makes me wanna chuck. but the outcome is pretty much always right now..
